Bombardier Transportation has recently handed over three Traxx AC locomotives to the rolling stock leasing company Akiem, who then passed them directly over to lessee HSL Logistik GmbH. The handover was based on a framework agreement signed in the summer of 2016 between Akiem and Bombardier Transportation for 52 electric Traxx locomotives with options for additional call offs.
Akiem called-off their first batch of 26 Traxx AC and MS locomotives (configured for use in twelve countries) in parallel to signing the framework agreement. In November 2017, Akiem then called off additional ten locomotives.
“These new locomotives don’t just meet our customers’ requirements, they also expand our business’ development in Europe by extending our service, flexibility and performance.
