At the meeting of railway security companies from Russia, Kazakhstan and Latvia in St. Petersburg, LDz Apsardze (LDz Security), a subsidiary of the Latvian state-owned railway company Latvijas Dzelzcels (LDz), signed an agreement on closer cooperation for freight trains guarding to increase security of cargos.
In view of the plans by LDz and railway companies of several other countries to develop transportation of containers and contrailers, they will need to ensure security of those cargoes. LDz also plans to develop security infrastructure and security services in order to offer not only speedy and good-quality but also safe transport services.
The new cooperation agreement will enable the company to offer its customers services of a higher quality in the future, Arnis Maculevics, the board chairman of LDz Apsardze, said.
