Renfe has launched new high-speed services between Granada and Seville, with a frequency of 8 trains, with four trains per direction.
Of these 8 trains, six will provide the connection of Granada with Almeria and Loja, Antequera-Santa Ana, Puente Genil-Herrera, Córdoba and Seville.
The Avant trains are running at speeds of 250 km/h.
In June 2019, the 122-km standard-gauge high-speed rail connection between Granada and Antequera-Santa Ana was officially opened. This new high-speed rail link provides three daily AVE train services between Granada and Madrid includes other towns and cities in Andalusia, such as Loja, Puente Genil and Cordoba, as well as Ciudad Real. Another daily AVE train in each direction is offered from Granada to Barcelona.
