PKP Cargo and Enea Elektrownia Połaniec signed the contract for the provision of steam coal transport services. The raw material will be transported from Lubelski Węgiel Bogdanka coal mine, situated near Łęczna, in the vicinity of Lublin, to the Połaniec power station.
PLN 45.4 million (EUR 10.65 million) is the value of the contract. The Polish railway operator will provide the transport services until March 2021.
Under the agreement, PKP Cargo will transport 1.3 million tonnes of steam coal in 15 months.
