Oslo Port and Kaliningrad Railways, a subsidiary of RZD, signed a memorandum of intent to develop a new multimodal project for the shipment of container trains between China – Europe – China via the ports of Kaliningrad and Norway.
During a working meeting of representatives from Kaliningrad Railways and the Norwegian transport market, the Russian company has presented the project of container train consignments between China and Europe using the single CIM / SMGS transport document. Container transhipments are carried out at the terminals of the ports of Baltiysk and Mukran in Germany. The use of a single consignment note enables shippers and consignees to minimize time and costs.

The Russian company intends to develop the multimodal project as it has already jointly carried out in partnership with UTLC ERA, the port of Kaliningrad, and other companies fomr Germany and the Netherlands.
