Société du Grand Paris (SGP) selected Systra to ensure technical project management assistance for metro line 15 Est (East) and metro line 15 Ouest (West) of the Grand Paris Express, which will be constructed as a design and build project. This is one of the biggest engineering contracts signed by Systra in France.
Under the contract, the company will be responsible for accompanying SGP in the definition of the programme, the management of tenders and then the construction of these two lines.
The technical project management assistance assignment will start this month and will continue until the commissioning of the two lines, expected for 2030.
Line 15 will be the ring route around Paris and will be the longest of the region’s metro lines. Lines 15 East and 15 West will serve 27 communes, covering a distance of 43 km, and should transport 1 million passengers per day. Line 15 East will link Champigny Centre to Saint-Denis Pleyel, and from here, the Westward section (Line 15 West) will continue to Pont de Sèvres.
Line 15 will stretch a total of 75 km around Paris and comprise 3 sections – west, east and south.
