The European Commission has launched the public consultation for the evaluation of the TEN-T Guidelines, welcoming all citizens and organisations to contribute to this consultation.
The deadline to reply to the consultation is 17 July.
The Regulation (EU) No 1315/2013 on Union guidelines for the development of the TEN-T foresees that, by 31 December 2023, the Commission shall carry out a review of the implementation of the core network, evaluating the compliance with the TEN-T provisions, progress in the implementation, changes in passenger and freight transport flows, developments in national transport infrastructure investments, and the need for amendments. Thus, the Commission is in the process of launching a comprehensive review process, addressing issues such as standards and infrastructure requirements, implementation tools or various aspects of the comprehensive network, as well as soft measures.
