Ctrip Group (CTRP), a provider of accommodation reservation, transportation ticketing, package tour and corporate travel management, has partnered with South Korea’s national rail operator Korail to provide sales of Korean rail tickets, making it easy for its members to purchase Korean rail tickets in their local languages. This cooperation marks the first time Korail has partnered with an online third party to sell rail tickets.
The service will be first available on Trip.com, Ctrip’s Asia Pacific focused travel booking service, available in 13 languages. The service will be further expanded to other platforms within the Ctrip Group.
With Korail joining the Trip.com train platform, customers from all over the world will be able to conveniently purchase tickets to visit locations throughout South Korea. This partnership will particularly benefit foreign visitors to the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang starting from 9 February. Starting on Trip.com’s website, Korail tickets will also be available on the Trip.com mobile version in the months to come.
