This year’s edition of Club Feroviar Conferences will be inaugurated by the event dedicated to rail infrastructure, held on 14 and 15 March, in Alba Iulia. The themed conference “Development of railway markets in Central and South-Eastern Europe for 2030 and beyond” is organized by Club Feroviar with the support of the Romanian Railway Industry Association (AIF).
The conference dedicated to rail infrastructure reunites infrastructure managers, international and regional builders, project integrators, as well as engineering and design companies, next to representatives of the public sector.
Confirmed speakers include Maria Magdalena Grigore, Secretary of State – Romanian Ministry of Transport, Cristian Ungureanu, General Manager – CFR SA, Iosif Szentes, General Manager – CFR Calatori, Marinica Voicu, General Manager – CFR Marfa, Marin Preda, General Manager – AFER, Victor Alexandru, Investment Deputy General Manager – CFR SA and Mihai Frumosu, Transport Specialist PJ – European Investment Bank.
The conference in Alba Iulia is a two-day event.
In the first day, participants will assist to three panels of discussions with captivating topics and stimulating opportunities, such as:

To further meet your expectations, technical visits will be organised during the second day of conference, to Rail Corridor IV work sites, Simeria – Coslariu – Sighisoara section:

- Vintu de Jos rail station
The entire Simeria – Coslariu – Sighisoara section, where CFR SA is developing projects of EUR 982 million, is very important for increasing the traffic speed to 160 km/h for passenger trains and to 120 km/h for freight trains.
The section is located in Hunedoara and Alba counties and the region is crossed by the pan-European Corridor IV, the northern branch. Railway rehabilitation and modernisation works include the installation of the ERTMS/ETCS Level 2 system, the modernisation of 15 rail stations, 19 stops and over 240 bridges/culverts/rail tunnels, the modernisation of 92 platforms and 4 traction substations.
Participation will guarantee access to information and know-how exchange with both rail industry suppliers and profile authorities and institutions.
