CAF has been selected for the supply of 3 new 7-module trams for the capital of Basque Autonomous Community, Vitoria-Gasteiz. The agreement also includes the expansion of three of the units currently circulating in the city from 5 modules to 7 modules.
The value of the contract amounts to EUR 14.5 million.
In 2008 Vitoria unveiled its first tram line, for which CAF supplied 11 units. These are 100% low-floor, bidirectional trams based on the Urbos platform which CAF has developed for urban transport system.
