Serbian rail company Infrastruktura Zeleznice Srbije has joined the International Union of Railways (UIC) as part of efforts to improve its efficiency. The accession of Infrastruktura Zeleznice Srbije to the organisation was approved during the meeting of its members in Paris on 7 December.
The membership in UIC will provide the company with access to technical documentation and standards, participation in forums, platforms and workgroups, as well as access to conclusions related to infrastructure, operators, technology, research, security, sustainable development, legal and financial issues.
Infrastruktura Zeleznice Srbije was established as a joint stock company in 2015, as part of the reorganisation of Zeleznice Srbije.
