CFR SA, as a railway infrastructure manager, is oriented towards the market and encourages the development of railway transport by initiating financial and operational measures in order to direct the transit flow to the railway sector”, Marius Chiper, the CEO of CFR SA said, on attending INFRATRANS® event and exhibition, organized by the Association of Romanian Railway Engineers (AIFR) and Club Feroviar.
„CFR SA was honored to host this business to business event, which facilitates the interaction between the customers and the producers and where the railway equipment and technologies are being promoted,” Marius Chiper added. CFR SA is in the process of developing 400 projects for the modernisation of the railway infrastructure worth a total of approximately RON 22 billion (EUR 4.7 billion).
Held between May 23-24, 2017, in Bucharest North Railway Station, INFRATRANS® 2017 was structured in three parts: an exhibition area, a rolling stock exhibition and the Job Fair. The event was organised under the auspices of the Ministry of Transport and with the support of CFR SA, CFR Calatori (Romanian rail passenger operator), CFR Marfa (Romanian rail freight operator), Metrorex (Bucharest underground transport operator), AFER (Romanian Railway Authority), AIF (Romanian Railway Industry Association)and CENAFER (National Railway Competence and Training Center).
