Moscow city announced that by the end of the year it will complete the main construction-assembly works between the Nekrasovka and Kosino stations in the southern section of the metro’s Kozhukhovskaya Line. The entire line is to be completed and opened by late 2018.
“The stations of this section are in a high state of readiness,” said Deputy Moscow Mayor for Urban Development and Construction Marat Khusnullin.
The Kozhukhovskaya Line, measuring over 17 km long, ranks among the most complex metro construction projects. It will link the city’s southeastern and eastern districts. “This line will allow us to extend metro lines to districts now lacking metro stations within walking distance from residential areas,” Khusnullin said.
The line will offer metro links for Nekrasovka, Nizhegorodsky and Ryazansky districts, as well as for Vykhino-Zhulebino, Kosino-Ukhtomskoye and Lyubertsy areas, outside Moscow.
