TÜV SÜD announced that it has acquired the business of Swedish company MiW Rail Technology, an independent consulting firm, delivering solutions in the railway technology field and with special competences in vehicle dynamics and computer simulation based services.
TÜV SÜD’s acquisition of MiW Rail Technology represents the consistent extension of its rail services to the Scandinavian region. “We believe the Scandinavian market has high demand for a strong local provider. By acquiring MiW Rail Technology and the useful addition of cutting-edge vehicle dynamics competence including computer simulation based services and tools, we will be able to provide even more effective and efficient support for our customers in future,” says Lars Brockhoff, CEO of TÜV SÜD Danmark and responsible for the rail business of TÜV SÜD Sverige.
Founded in 2005, MiW Rail Technolgy AB offers support in the fields of vehicle approval, procurement of rolling stock, international standardisation, safety management and project management.
