Milan’s urban transport company ATM, which is controlled by the Milan’s city council, and Italian local railway company Ferrovie Nord Milano will merge by June. The merger would create a company with a turnover of EUR 2 billion.
A working technical group has been working on the merger proposal since October 2016. An evaluation of the industrial plan and potential overlaps and synergies has also been carried out, and the technical and legal questions have been dealt with.
