The Second Ring of the Moscow Metro will be completed in 2020-2021, according to Moscow Deputy Mayor Andrey Bochkarev, rrcrail.com reports. The first section of the Second Ring, linking Delovoy Tsentr and Petrovsky Park stations, will be opened in spring 2017.
In 2019 the North-Eastern section (Rubtsovskaya – Nizhnyaya Maslovka), South-Western section (Aminyevskoe Shosse – Prospekt Vernadskogo), Southern section (Prospekt Vernadskogo – Kakhovskaya) and Western section (Khoroshevskaya – Mnevniki) are scheduled to be opened.
In 2020 works will be completed in North West (Mnevniki – Mozhayskaya) and West (Mozhayskaya – Aminyevskoe Shosse).
In 2020-2021 the Second Ring will be finalized by building the link between Kashirskaya and Nizhegorodskaya Ulitsa stations.
