Keolis will continue to operate the Greater Dijon transport network, Divia, for a further six years until 2022. The new comprehensive mobility contract combines buses, trams, solutions for people with reduced mobility, car parks, short and long-term bike rentals, and car and bike impoundment lots starting January 2017. It is expected to generate EUR 435 million in total revenue.
“This mobility project intends to erase the frequent opposition between car users and public transport users and other alternatives to favor the shared management of public space,” explains the subsidiary of SNCF in a statement.
It is already planned to launch this year a new website with a single application for all mobility services that will be accessible thanks to a single transport card.
As part of the comprehensive mobility contract, Keolis will oversee the renewal of the 400 short-term rental bikes at 40 different stations, and will manage nine car parks, two tram lines, 800 long-term rental bikes and a fleet of 200 buses.
As a result of the new contract, Keolis Dijon has been renamed as Keolis Dijon Mobilités.
“With this single contract in France, Keolis confirmed its ability to meet the challenges of daily mobility: accessibility, energy transition and multimodal integration to facilitate the movement of citizens,” commented Frédéric Baverez, Executive Director Keolis France.
