The high-level Platform of Rail Infrastructure Managers in Europe (PRIME) welcomed the three new signatories as PRIME members: SBB Infrastruktur (Switzerland), CFR Căile Ferate Române (Romania) and VPE, Hungarian Rail Capacity Allocation Office Ltd (Hungary).
Moreover, Alain Quinet, Director-General Delegate of SNCF Réseau was confirmed as PRIME’s industry co-chair.
“I am delighted to see three new members joining PRIME and congratulate Alain Quinet on his re-election. Together we will continue our work of finding the best solutions to improve European rail infrastructure. The focus remains on innovation, safety, security and infrastructure financing,” Henrik Hololei, Director General for Mobility and Transport at the European Commission, said.
PRIME was created in 2013 and is the first platform involving both the European Commission and CEOs of the rail infrastructure management industry. PRIME serves as an early-warning system to flag up problems and identify possible solutions in the policy domain.
