During the first day, the debated topics will tackle the Shift2Rail Initiative, the Horizon 2020 programme, Technical Specifications for Interoperability, TEN-T network, while the backbone of the discussions will be represented by the Fourth Railway Package, the most recent and important legislative package whose purpose is the achievement of a Single European Railway Area through the removal of barriers.
The second day of the event will focus strategies of regional, urban and suburban infrastructure development, the role of multimodal transport in boosting railway turnover and solutions for the development and implementation of the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans.
The exposition that will take place during the Railway PRO Investment Summit will provide the companies with the chance to present their latest products and developments in front of a highly specialised audience of leaders and key players acting on the international railway market. It is an excellent networking opportunity through direct interaction with the exhibitors to share insights and information that is beneficial towards the growth of the global railway market.
The third day of the event will host the technical visit to Măgurele Laser Valley for the project called Extreme – Light Infrastructure – Nuclear Physics (ELI – NP), one of the most important European research projects, with major importance in the development of the transport systems in Bucharest Metropolitan Area. ELI-NP will be a European “user facility” type laboratory that will thoroughly investigate problems of a large range of scientific activities, from fundamental physics, aspects related to nuclear physics and astrophysics, materials science, life sciences and management of nuclear materials.
The networking and interactive sessions are an excellent occasion to exchange expertise and good practices meant to support innovation.
