Latvia has proposed to Kazakhstan to work together on an offer for international transportation and logistics between China and Europe and to become strategic partners in Eurasian transport, the Latvian Transport Ministry, Uldis Augulis said during a meeting with Roman Vasilenko, Deputy Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan.
The proposal was made in view of Kazakhstan’s important role in development of the New Silk Road and Latvia’s contribution to facilitation of transport in Eurasia.
It was agreed to hold the meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission in early October this year to discuss cooperation in trade, education and science, transport, agriculture and tourism, including medical tourism.
