Iran will lay 130 km of tracks out of 164 km on the Qazvin-Rasht line, the Communications Minister Mahmoud Vaezi said.
The project is 93% ready and it will be completed by March 2017 and will be linked to Azerbaijan through the Rasht-Astara railway.
Within the project, Azerbaijan may provide a USD 500 million loan to Iran.
