The Lyon and Parliament Confederation Line tunnels are completed (100% and respectively 99%), and Rideau status is 90% completed. The Ottawa’s downtown tunnel will be 2.5 kilometers long with these 3 stations.
The Confederation Line will be a significant part of OC Transpo’s integrated transit network. It will connect to the existing Bus Rapid Transitway at Tunney’s Pasture Station in the west and Blair Road in the east, and to the O-Train at Bayview Station. Together with a 2.5 km downtown tunnel, this light rail system will move Ottawa faster and in more comfort than ever before.
The construction works on Confederation LRT began in April 2013 and is estimated to be completed in October 2017.
