Škoda Electric will deliver to Chinese CRRC Nanjing Puzhen the complete electric equipment for trams in Suzhou, China. The contract includes 18 low-floor trams. Currently, Suzhou operates 40 five-coach tram sets with traction equipment from the Czech company.
The latest delivery for another 24 additional vehicles with improved technology concept six-coach sets is being finalized. “The modern low-floor trams are designed for line 2 in Suzhou. Complete installation and engine production takes place in a partner factory Skoda Electric in China, ” Sales Director Europe & Asia Jaromír Hájek said.
