Lithuanian railway company Lietuvos Gelezinkeliai transported 3.8 million tons of freight in January 2016, down 5.1% year-on-year. International freight traffic decreased by 13.7% to 2.6 million tons, while domestic freight volumes increased by 20% to 1.2 million tons.
Annual freight volumes declined by 1.9% in 2015 compared with 2014 to 48.053 million tons, with international freight traffic down by 2.6% to 33.6 million tons and domestic traffic down by 0.4% to 14.4 million tons.
