„The project for the Ruse – Varna and Karnobat – Sindel will be presented to the Chinese government delegation,” Bulgarian Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technologies and Communications, Anton Ginev, said.
Deputy Minister Anton Ginev expressed his hope China’s representatives would display also an interest in the projects for which funding had not been allocated under OP Transport.
“We will expect a proposal relating to cooperation from the Chinese side after the visit,” Ginev noted. In his words, the Bulgarian authorities want to make the partnership concrete in order to start real actions.
The Chinese government delegation paid a visit to the ferry complex and Port of Varna West, where representatives of the Bulgarian Ports Infrastructure Company and the National Railway Infrastructure Company (NRIC) delivered presentations.
“A Bulgarian delegation will take part in an inter-government commission’s in Tehran. We hope we will also receive proposals from them concerning the development of transport connections across the Black Sea. We aim at developing the seaport in Varna and the region of Varna as a logistics, transport, and tourism destination,” Deputy Minister Ginev remarked.
