Far Eastern Railways, a branch of RZD, continues its traction rolling stock renovation program. In 2016, the railway branch will receive 25 new locomotives.
Currently, the whole fleet of electric freight locomotives of Far Eastern Railways consists of modern Ermak locomotives, which results in improved performance and provides repair base specialization opportunities.
Far Eastern Railways focuses on supplies of new locomotives for the Baikal-Amur and Sakhalin railway sections as one of its development priorities.
