The next dispatch of Kazakh locomotives of the fifth generation of TE33A of the Evolution series is ready for shipment to Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (KTZ) says.
An agreement on the supply of 10 locomotives was signed between Azerbaijan Railways and Kazakh Lokomotiv Kurastyru Zauyty in August 2015. The first part of Kazakh locomotives was delivered to Baku in August.
Kanat Nuraly, the Vice President of the Lokomotiv Kurastyru Zauyty said that according to the agreement, the Kazakh company will deliver two locomotives to Baku monthly.
Currently, the locomotives maunufactured by the local Kazakh industry are being exploited on the railways of Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Ukraine, as well as Turkmenistan.
