Sulev Loo was named chairman of the management board/CEO of AS Eesti Raudtee (EVR – Estonian Railways).
Loo has vast management experience in international transit and logistic business. He has been the head of well-known Estonian transit and logistics companies such as N-Terminal Grupp, AS Milstrand and AS Pakterminal. Sulev Loo’s previous position was CEO of AS Tarcona, an international company servicing oil, chemical products and other energy supply networks.
Raivo Vare, the chairman of the supervisory board of EVR, said that the new appointed chairman is a person with broad knowledge and contacts in the logistics sector and hence is expected to strongly contribute to the future development of the railway sector in Estonia, to the qualitative improvement of passenger rail services and to oppose the recession of current transit flows.
