The route of the Benelux trains could no longer be extended to Amsterdam until 14 December, as initially scheduled, because the necessary additional coaches have not yet received authorisation to travel in the Belgian network. The Benelux trains, which have been put into service again after cancelling the Fyra connection, link Brussels to La Haye 12 hours a day. The SNCB and NS objective was to increase the number of daily connections to 16 and the extension of the route until Amsterdam.
