Eurasia Rail International Railway, Light Rail Systems, Infrastructure and Logistics Exhibition is set to host the leading figures of the global railway industry at the Istanbul Expo Center from June 18 to 20, 2025. Having hosted a total of 10,603 visitors from 61 countries and 212 exhibitors from 17 countries in 2023, Eurasia Rail is eagerly counting down the days to welcome a record number of exhibitors in the upcoming year.
Eurasia Rail, set to be held for the 11th time in 2025, continues to solidify its position as the premier platform that brings together industry leaders and professional visitors under one roof. The exhibition has not only taken the pulse of the sector in Eurasia since 2011 but also brought together the world’s leading railway authorities, improving existing relations and paving the way for new cooperations.
Both exhibitors and visitors will be able to access detailed information and experts’ opinions about latest developments in the rail transport, challenges that come along with innovations and new technologies as well as possible solutions through the conferences and seminars held during the exhibition.

The Present and Future Status of the Railway Sector to be Discussed at Eurasia Rail
This year, Eurasia Rail will feature a three-day activity program during the exhibition. The program will include sessions focused on collaborations within the sector, international agreements, new-generation systems and technologies in transportation as well as success stories and marketing strategies.
Semi Benbanaste, Eurasia Rail Exhibition Director, emphasized that rail systems are increasingly important worldwide due to their speed, cost-effectiveness, environmental friendliness, safety and modernity. He commented on Türkiye’s investment plans in the transportation sector:
“Türkiye has become a strong regional and international player in the railway sector, especially with the significant investments made in recent years. The projects implemented in accordance with the ‘2053 Transport and Logistics Master Plan and Roadmap’ are guiding our country toward a sustainable and environmentally friendly future in railway transportation. Transportation investments continue to account for the largest share of public infrastructure investments with 32 percent. In 2025, transportation investments are expected to maintain this trend, reaching 340 billion TL. The share of railway investments within transportation investments exceeded 60 percent in 2024, and in 2025, an investment of 210 billion TL is planned again with a share exceeding 60 percent. In addition, local governments that continue to invest in urban metro and light rail systems are expected to increase their investments in this area to 50 billion TL in 2025.”
Emphasizing that Türkiye has become one of the largest rail system vehicle manufacturers in the Middle East, Benbanaste remarked on this year’s Eurasia Rail:
“New generation locomotives, diesel and electric train sets, passenger and freight wagons, traction converters and engines, diesel engines, train control management systems and other essential, critical and ancillary products are produced in our country.”
The first national electric train sets have also been put into service. The driverless national metro vehicle, produced with 70 percent domestic content, has been introduced to the rails. The development of logistics centers for rail freight transport is ongoing with the number of operational logistics centers reaching 14 and a total capacity of 14.5 million tons. Environmental sensitivity is prioritized in the operations of new lines and high-speed trains. In the medium term, over the next 4 to 10 years, 35 percent of the energy consumed by railways will come from renewable energy sources. Various developments in the railway sector, including new lines, high-speed train projects and domestically produced electric train sets, are enhancing connections within the domestic market and positioning Türkiye as a critical hub for international transportation. It is a great honor for us to witness the transformation in this field and to connect the sector’s innovations with visitors at Eurasia Rail. We are preparing to make a significant contribution to the railway sector and the national economy at Eurasia Rail, which we will organize for the 11th time in 2025.”
