Seven offers have been submitted in a tender for the reconstruction of a tram line linking central Sofia with Knyazhevo neighbourhood in the south. The estimated value of the contract is BGN 40.4 million (EUR 20.7 million). The offers were submitted by Trace Group Hold and six tie-ups. Bids will be ranked according to the offered price and technical criteria. Works should be completed within no more than 20 months. The project will be partially financed by EU funds through Operational Programme Regions in Growth 2014-2020.
In May, Sofia Municipality has launched a tender for the reconstruction of 16 km of double tram line.
