“There are many positive aspects on the technical part of the work, I have been compared it with other countries, also the work on the structure is completed at a rate of 75-80%, possibly even more,” Dan Costescu, the Romanian Minister of Transport said.
Work on the extension of the Line 4 of the Bucharest metro is completed at a rate of 42%. Metrorex announces the new stations on Line 4 will be put into use at the end of 2016.
“For the execution of Line 4 of the Bucharest metro, Parc Bazilescu (PS Zarea) – Străuleşti section, with financing within the Sectoral Operational Programme – Transport 2007 – 2013 and from the State budget, in Q1 of 2015 there have been executed works amounting RON 95.915.953, VAT included (EUR 21.5 mln). Regarding the stage of the works on Section 2 Parc Bazilescu – Străuleşti, currently these are completed in percentage of 42%. The completion of this section is estimated for the end of 2016”, Cătălin Homor, General Manager of Metrorex said.
The total value of the remaining works to be contracted is RON 58 million (EUR 13 million) and they provide traffic safety and dynamic information systems.
