Union Pacific Railroad will invest in Kansas’ railway infrastructure investing more than USD 10 million for the line Delia – Onaga line. The project, funded entirely by Union Pacific without taxpayer dollars, began July 24 and is scheduled to be completed in mid-August.
The project involves the replace of 16 miles of tracks (25.7 km) and install five switches. In addition, crews will repair the surfaces at 20 road crossings.
The company plans to invest USD 120 million in 2015 to improve Kansas’ transportation infrastructure.
