Following the orders received from Ukrzaliznytsia for 2015, PJSC Zaporizhia electric locomotive repair plant has returned to a five-day working week instead of a three-day working week, Interfax reports.
Because of a lack of orders for rolling stock repairs and spares manufacturing the company worked only eight days in January and February, and 14 days in March.
In April the plant signed agreements with Pivdenna and Prydniprovska Railways for the repair and manufacture of spare parts and equipment worth UAH 49.8 million (1.96 million euros). The company also plans to sign contracts for UAH 19.2 million (827,000 euros) with Odesa and Pivdenno-Zakhidna Railways.
In addition, contracts were signed for UAH 77.8 million (3.37 million euros) for the repair of 11 electric locomotives for Prydniprovska, Pivdenna, and Odesa Railways. The plant also plans to sign another agreement with Pivdenno-Zakhidna Railways for UAH 44.5 million (1.92 million euros).
