Toronto has begun a complete replacement of its tram fleet, with the first two new vehicles entering service in the city.
Ontario is investing $416.3 million on 204 new low-floor Flexity Outlook trams to modernise Toronto’s streetcar network.
The first new generation of vehicles will replace trams on all 11 lines by 2019. The first two vehicles have now entered revenue service on the 510 Spadina line.
