The Moscow Central Ring’s (MCR) newest stations, Panfilovskaya, Zorge and Koptevo are scheduled to open by Novemver, said Moscow Ring Railway Chief Engineer Denis Dyatchin. Currently, final equipment inspections are now taking place.
“These stations are nearly 100 percent ready. Start-up and final adjustments are taking place now,” he said. For example, at Koptevo the surrounding grounds are being cleaned and landscaped. From this station passengers will be able to get to Mikhalkovskaya and Koptevskaya streets.
Service on the Moscow Central Ring was launched on September 10, with 26 stations, and 12 interchanges to the metro and six to commuter trains. Now 28 stations are operating: Sokolinaya Gora and Dubrovka opened on October 11. According to Denis Dyatchin, the last three of the 31 stations will open soon.
