Thailand-Cambodia line to be completed by the end of 2016

cambodiaBy the end of the year, Cambodia plans to complete the construction of the 6.5 km cross-border railway section linking Cambodian town Poipet to Aranyaprathet, Thailand.
“We plan to complete this project by the end of the year and as planned it could be finished by either October or November,” Cambodian Transport Minister Sun Chanthol said.
The project is financed by the Asian Development Bank.
The railway track between Poipet and Sisophon is part of the eastern corridor of the rail link between Singapore and China’s Kunming province that will connect the whole of Asean.
