Czech Railway Infrastructure Administration SZDC will modernize 3 railway lines that are proposed for co-financing by the European Union under the Operational Programme Transport.
The modernization of Pardubice – Ždírec nad Doubravou railway line includes track adaptations, building new platforms, reconstruction of current railway stations and crossings as well as modernisation of safety and communication equipment . SUDOP PRAHA a.s. was selected as the designer of the project, and the supplier is the consotium formed by Eurovia CS, a.s., GJW Praha, spol. s r.o., Chládek a Tintěra, Pardubice a.s. and HOCHTIEF CZ, a.s.
Total costs of the project is CZK 995.77 million (EUR 36.54 million) of which the planned contribution from the Cohesion Funds reaching up to CZK 782.76 million (EUR 28.73 million). National financing of the project is assured by the State Fund for Transport Infrastructure. The completion of works is planned for this December.
The second modernization project annouced by the company includes Klatovy – Železná Ruda railway line. The total construction costs amount CZK 92.6 million (EUR 3.4 million) and is proposed for co-financing by the European Union under the Operational Programme Transport from the Cohesion Fund. The supplier is the SBT+OHL+AŽD Klatovy consortium, consisting of the partners Subterra a.s., OHL ŽS a.s. and AŽD Praha s.r.o. The project should be completed next February.
Modřice – Brno-Horní Heršpice railway line should be modernized by november 2015. With a total cost of CZK 242.66 million (EUR 8.9 million), the project is proposed for co-financing by the European Union under the Operational Programme Transport with a planned contribution amount from the Cohesion Fund reaching up to CZK 180.54 million (EUR 6.6 million). The supplier of works is Skanska a. s.
