Systra has been appointed to manage a seven-year project involving the installation of a new train management system for the Chemins de Fer de la Corse (CFC), Corsica. The project aims to meet increasing rail transport demands in Corsica, where ridership has grown by more than 50% in five years.
Systra will project manage all stages of the work, from design to post-implementation support. The main challenge of the project is for the network to continue to operate while the work is underway.
The network’s capacity is being increased through the implementation of centralised traffic management and the creation of passing track sections.
