St. Petersburg could build a Railway Ring

The list of priority projects issued by the Municipality of Sankt Petersburg also includes the possibility of building new metro stations and carrying out other important projects in order to develop urban transport.

The possibility to build a Railway Ring was submitted by the Vice-Governor of the municipality, Igor Albin. He said that the new urban railway project could take shape in the north side of St. Petersburg.

Vice-Governor Igor Albin added that the development of public transport is one of the active priorities of St. Petersburg.
“The development of the metro network by building new stations, creating 60 urban transport hubs and the construction of a Railway Ring are among the priorities we will implement through the Master Plan,” Albin informed.
