Sofia metro operator Metropolitan will launch a tender for the construction of a 4 km section of the metro’s third line in the next few days. The tender will include the construction of four stations and two tunnels, Metropolitan’s head Stoyan Bratoev said.
The value of the project is estimated at BGN 178 million (EUR 91.1 million). The project is co-financed under the EU-funded operational programme Transport and Transport Infrastructure.
The works are expected to be completed in three years.
