Saudi Arabia cancelled the USD 201 million contract on the delivery of 6 high-speed trains from Talgo, that was awarded in February this year, Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores (CNMV) announced.
The contract signed by Saudi Railways Organization and Talgo included the delivery of 6 new trains with 13 coaches that should be put into operation on the Riyadh-Damman railway line.
According to CNMV notification, Talgo said that it would not materially affect its financial projections for 2015 and 2016, but the company lost 10.6% at the Madrid stock exchange.
