The city of Salzburg has launched a new concept for mobility planning to help improve accessibility and road safety and provide mobility for all citizens.
Salzburg.mobil 2025 replaces the city’s previous mobility concept and contains 83 concrete measures for transport and mobility.
This concept gives city officials a clear direction for future transport policy. Expanding and increasing the attractiveness of public transport and creating alternative mobility options are guiding principles.
‘Salzburg.mobil 2025 is a concept that tries to create a balance between preserving and constructing infrastructure, and strengthening public transport and environmentally friendly alternatives to motorised traffic,’ said Wilfried Haslauer, the governor of Salzburg.
