RZD ready to take part in Egyptian infrastructure projects

Russian Railways President Vladimir Yakunin said the company is ready to join the implementation of several infrastructure projects in Egypt with a public-private partnership. “Currently there are projects in Indonesia, in Serbia, we are working in Iran, and we are in talks with a large number of other railway administrations,” Yakunin said. “And from this point of view, we certainly pay attention to the signs of developing relations with Egypt. Very much depends on the Russian government developing an appropriate point of view, because the projects require investment.”
According to Yakunin, working on these projects within foreign markets allows the company to extend its reach and profitability, and it creates positive international ties.
