In January-February 2016, RZD loaded 188.963,200 t of freight, the same amount as in January-February 2015.
In the reported period the company saw a 3.1% increase for coal shipments, a 6.3% increase for non-ferrous ore and sulphur, a 6.4% increase for chemical and mineral fertilisers, and a 19.3% increase for construction materials.
The shipment of coke decrease to 1.6 mln t (-4.3%); that of crude and oil products to 40.6 mln t (-5.9%); that of iron and manganese ores to 17.3 mln t (-1%); that of ferrous metal to 11.2 mln t (-8.5%); that of ferrous metal scrap to 1.2 mln t (-26.1%); that of cement to 2.6 mln t (-14.8%); and that of industrial feedstock and moulded materials to 4.2 mln t (-1.4%).
In the same period, freight turnover climbed by 1.3% to 367.8 billion tariff ton-km.
