RZD plans to build and electrify the railway from Iran to Azerbaijan and further to Russia, RIA Novosti reported.
The chairman of the State Duma Committee on transport Evgeniy Moskvichev made the remarks commenting on the issues that will be discussed during the visit of the State Duma Speaker Sergey Naryshkin on November 16-17.
“We have had a full understanding of bilateral relations over the past three to five years and memoranda on rail, aviation and maritime communications have been prepared, and I think that they will be signed since early July of 2015,” said Moskvichev.
He said that Iran and Russia have a number of minor problems in the transport sector.
