According to the contract notice published by CFR Calatori, on 29 November, the operator will organise at its headquarters an open tender for contracting running repair services for the 5100 KW TSAM electric locomotives (modernised traction auxiliary services). According to the contract notice, the attribution criterion will be the lowest price.
The deadline for submitting offers or requests for proposals is 7 November. For the whole locomotive repair contract, CFR Calatori estimates a cost of between RON 1.96 million (EUR 430,000) and RON 4.38 million (EUR 961.5 thousand), VAT excluded, with funds from own resources.
Works should take 48 months after the attribution of the contract. According to the contract notice, CFR Calatori will sign a framework agreement with one company, and repair works will be divided in two sectoral contracts.
The first subsequent sectoral contract will take 6 months to complete, followed by the next subsequent sectoral contracts each taking 6 months to complete. The estimated cost of the subsequent contract varies between RON 1.96 million (EUR 430,000) and RON 2.95 million (EUR 645,000).CFR Calatori operates a fleet of 29 electric locomotives of 5100KW.
The second tender announced by the Romanian national railway passenger transport operator includes different repair works for 40 AVA 200 coaches.
This tender will be divided in two lots and offers will be opened on 4 December. The deadline for submitting offers is 9 December. Funds for this tender are also ensured from CFR Calatori’s own resources.
The estimated cost of the major overhaul contract, lot 1 varies between RON 1.07 million (EUR 234,000) and RON 2,5 million (EUR 547,000).
The estimated cost of the subsequent modernisation contract (equipment and installations) for lot 2 varies between RON 91.870 thousand (EUR 20,000) and RON 183.7 thousand (EUR 40,000).
The estimated cost, VAT excluded, of the whole contract for repairs and modernisations of AVA 200 coaches varies between RON 1.16 million (EUR 254,000) and RON 57.31 million (EUR 12.5 million).
According to the contract notice, the attribution criterion will be the lowest price. The finalisation deadline will be 48 months from the attribution of the contract.
