RIB Software AG announced the conclusion of a Phase-II deal with Norwegian Rail. “This is yet another testament to the increasing use of our technology in the infrastructure sector. Besides German Railway now a second railway group in Europe have already placed their trust in the leading iTWO technology”, said Mads Bording, CEO of RIB Nordics.
RIB iTWO combines traditional construction planning and innovative 5D planning, complementing the sector’s traditional processes with an interactive, model-based graphic process that links planning and construction from end to end.
“In less than a year more than 50 railway projects have started on the RIB platform including mobile solutions for on-site updates. Norwegian Rail executes CAPEX projects exceeding NOK 5 billion [EUR 552 million] annually, and will involve hundreds of consultants, contractors and suppliers. The RIB iTWOcx solutions will be integrated in the system infrastructure of Norwegian Rail including their archive and FM systems. The success to deliver the best competencies to a demanding customer is essentially based on close collaboration with RIB and support from the respective RIB-teams across the region.”
