In the third quarter of 2015, RENFE (Spain) will launch a public tender to purchase 40 new trains, economia.elpais.com reports. The investment is estimated at EUR 1.1 billion, Spanish Minister for Public Works Ana Pastor announced. The tender is a framework agreement, and new trains will be delivered according to the company’s needs.
RENFE is elaborating the specifications of the tender and will analize various funding opportunities to purchase the trains.
