Railpool has ordered five additional Vectron type AC locomotives that are to be delivered this year and are planned for operating in Germany, Austria, Hungary and Romania.
The locomotives, with a maximum output of 6,400 KW and a top speed of 200 km/h, will be built in the Siemens plant in Munich-Allach, Germany. With this order, Railpool will be expanding its Vectron fleet to a total of 19 units. The contract also gives Railpool the option to order up to ten additional Vectron AC locomotives.
